Topic: Johnson Center- Source identification
For
this blog I decided to keep doing some more research about the Johnson
Center. I found an article on the UK’s campus recreations page under the
section titled “Group Fitness” and the URL is http://www.uky.edu/studentaffairs/campusrec/fitness/group-fitness.
This website is updated daily there for it didn’t have the date of when it was
published and also didn’t have a set author.
Topic: Johnson Center- Word summary
Not
only does the Johnson Center have weight lifting and cardio equipment for its members
but it also offers a variety of classes throughout the year, including Yoga,
Cycling, Boot Camp, Step, Zumba, TRX, and more. Each class is designed and
taught by certified instructors to help individuals of all fitness levels and capabilities work towards their optimal
level of fitness. All Johnson Center members are eligible to
participate in group fitness classes and they are free. No sign-ups are necessary
to go to these classes. Class availability is based on a first-come first-serve
basis. Group fitness classes are taught in the multi-purpose studio and group
cycling classes are held in Cycling Studio Room 243 (both located in the 2nd
floor of the JC).
Topic: Johnson Center- reflection/questions
This
article will be very helpful in further research because it shows how much the
JC offers for its members. There for it gives them fewer excuses to why they aren’t
going there. I came up with a few questions related to this topic that will
help me find more information about the JC. Those questions are: How many
people can fit in one class? What are the times these classes are offered? What
happens if only a few people show up? Are there rules for taking these classes?
